Project Objective:
Engineer, install and comission a 800 HP steam turbine driving the main natural gas reciprocating compressor for the on-site cogeneration facility. Steam conditions at the inlet are 620 psig/600F and the outlet will be 190 psig. This turbine's exhaust will supply the plant's medium pressure steam required for processing.
Project Statistics:

Steam Supply for turbine is plant's need for substantial amount of medium pressure process steam. Turbine will utilize 35,400 lbs/hr of steam at maximum load
- The turbine replaces electric motor on existing reciprocating gas compressor supplying 7,050 SCFM of high pressure NG to on-site cogeneration facility

Presently offsetting 600 BHp-hr of electricity

Based on DOE's Average US household energy usuage of 36.3 MMBtu/yr (10,660 kw-hr/yr), this project presently, offsets the equivalent energy needed to power 380 homes for one year
